Christopher Swan

Dr. Christopher Swan is a Professor in the Environmental Science program at the University of Maryland Baltimore County. He is a community ecologist with broad interest in the mechanisms driving biological diversity and related ecosystem functions and services. He works in both freshwater and terrestrial ecosystems, with a focus on urban environments, and participates extensively in synthesis activities domestically and abroad. Dr. Swan teaches undergraduate and graduate level courses in general ecology, aquatic ecology, quantitative ecology and community ecology.
