Panagiotis Theodorou

Dr. Theodorou's research investigates ecological and evolutionary processes from genes through species and ecosystems, to quantify the effects of urbanisation on biodiversity, mutualistic interactions and the ecosystem service of pollination. His main research topics fall within the field of Insect Evolutionary Ecology such as population genetics, insect biodiversity, host-parasite interactions, plant-pollinator interactions and pollination.

"Cities are microcosms of the evolutionary changes that are occurring on a planetary scale and thus provide a natural laboratory to advance our understanding of eco-evolutionary dynamics in a rapidly urbanizing world."
