Cristian Correa

Cristian Correa is a Conservation and Evolutionary Biologist who has been involved for over a decade as curator and statistical analyst of the largest published database on phenotypic change for the study of contemporary evolution in animals and plants at a global scale.

He also conducts empirical work addressing little known Patagonian fish communities exposed to major anthropogenic changes in their environment, such as continental translocations, habitat degradation and exposure to novel invasive predators. He is currently based at Universidad Austral de Chile in Valdivia.

"Cities are microcosms of the evolutionary changes that are occurring on a planetary scale and thus provide a natural laboratory to advance our understanding of eco-evolutionary dynamics in a rapidly urbanizing world."
