Lab Website

Steering Committee member Jennifer Rudgers is a Professor of Biology at the University of New Mexico and Director of the Sevilleta Long-Term Ecological Research Program, which is the first LTER site to begin an evolutionary monitoring program for long-term phenotypic and genetic change. Rutgers' research program uses plants, arthropods, and microbes to explore how mutualistic interactions affect evolutionary trajectories, population dynamics, community structure, and evolution (>100 publications).

"Cities are microcosms of the evolutionary changes that are occurring on a planetary scale and thus provide a natural laboratory to advance our understanding of eco-evolutionary dynamics in a rapidly urbanizing world."
